The Burgundy Lion Group
Burgundy Lion opened in 2008 and redefined the public perception in Montreal of what a pub could be. A simple but impressive wine and cocktail list and a level of service not yet seen in Montreal’s pub culture. The Lion was able to maintain the precarious balance or exceptional food and service while remaining a pub at its’ core.
In 2010 Burgundy Lion Group expanded for the first time, taking its’ award winning specialty dish, Fish n’ Chips and opening the first Quebec inspired Fish n’ Chips shop in the world. The now renowned Brit & Chips.
In 2014, after expanding the Brit & Chips brand, Burgundy Lion Group jumped back into the pub game, this time in the Mile-End with another unique offering, Pub Bishop & Bagg. Our gin heavy concept has consistently garnered top honours as Montreal’s best Pub Food.
In 2016 the group opened our catering wing, Royal British Hospitality Catering (RBHC).
In 2019 the group opened Wolf & Workman, Old Montreal’s Gastropub. A high end pub with a locally sourced English inspired menu, cocktails created from Quebecois distillations, and beers brewed in the Montreal area.
In 2022 the group opened Cartier Arms, Located in the Hyatt Centric Hotel. A British inspired, with the highest quality locally sourced ingredients, while being one of the great tables of Montreal.
